Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

This position is an integral part of the Venues & Infrastructure (VNI) functional area and will support the team to deliver the project in line with the agreed milestones, project plans and budgets.

The person will assist Venues & Infrastructure (VNI) functional area in the procurement process during all the tender phase and will support Venue Delivery Senior Manager in the contract negotiations and in the definition of the overlay delivery strategy definition and implementation.


In particular, the person will:

  • actively operate in the definition of the overlay delivery contract for the general contractors;
  • support the definition of the technical package (review and implementation of technical specifications, drawings, BoQ, specific reports, etc.).
  • support and coordinate all Cost & Contract disciplines within the VNI area;
  • manage the ongoing relationships with service providers / contractors to ensure efficient and effective delivery;
  • manage cross functional relationships to ensure effective communication and coordination;
  • assist the VNI reporting function ensuring that progress reports, schedules, risk management and the like are accurate, up to date and delivered on time;
  • share ideas and information with the team and contribute to the team environment;
  • be aware and comply with the Corporation’s health and safety policies, standards practices and program.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree and Qualifications in Sport / Cost Management / Construction / Engineering;
  • Excellent language skills in English, knowledge of one or several other Olympic movement official languages is an advantage;
  • IT-experienced, knowledge of usual office software + technical drawings software;
  • Full availability to travel across Italy and Europe to assist and, potentially, shadow support other OCOG in to sport events;
  • Full availability to do site visits in the venues of Milano Cortina 2026;
  • Full availability to stay in the venues of Milano Cortina 2026 during the Olympic and Paralympic games of Milano Cortina 2026;
  • Capability of managing projects and delivery on time and on budget;
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex situations and suggest/take appropriate decisions and measures.
