Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

We are looking for an intern to join our Energy Area.


The ideal candidate is a fresh-graduated or graduate student in Electric Engineering (Smart Grids), Energetic Engineering, (Renewables and Environmental Sustainability), Management Engineering (Energy and Environmental Management).

S/he, under the supervision of the Head of Energy, will provide support to the management of activities related to IOC (International Olympic Committee) deliverables and will interface with all internal Functional Areas of Milano Cortina 2026.

In particular, the resource will carry out activities like scheduling, participation and reporting of most of the meetings in the Energy Area, supporting the preparation of the documents related to the Milestones Management, the monitoring of Energy Budget and interfacing with several interlocutors (such as electrical sector operators, local contact persons and IOC Energy & Technology Area).



Responsibilities


  • Coordinating of Project Office, an internal team that organize the Energy internal processes.
  • Scheduling, partecipating, managing and reporting most of the meetings of the Energy Area.
  • Providing support to the Head of Energy for managing IOC Milestones for the Energy Area.
  • Providing support to the HEad of Energy for managing the internal activities assigned to other resources (External consultants)
  • To interface with all internal and external subjects involved in the Energy Area process (i.e. other Functional Areas, IOC, internal ad external consultants, local contact persons at Olympic Sites, IOC Energy & Technology Area).
  • Managing a relevant number of technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master Degree (fresh graduated student or still enrolled) in the following fields: Electric Engineering (Smart Grids), Energetic Engineering, (Renewables and Environmental Sustainability), Management Engineering (Energy and Environmental Management).
  • Previous work experience in the above fields will be a plus.
  • Excellent proficiency with English Language (C1 level, writing and speaking)
  • Management skills and Time-Management capacity.
  • Scheduling capacity of several tasks and great flexibility skills.
  • Capacity to write official documents and reports, detail-focused person
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of IT Tools (in particular MS Office Suite)
