Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


The Interpretation Manager is responsible for the coordination of the provision of interpretation services for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and their related events.

This role involves collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating in the planning, implementation, and management of the Remote Interpretation Centre, supporting the recruitment and training of staff and volunteers, and ensuring effective project reporting and post-event debriefing.


· Manage the interpretation requests across all the organization and support the overall planning of the interpretation services for Games time and related test events.

· Support the overall planning and management of the Remote Interpretation Centre, being the main point of contact for this space at the venue level.

· Coordinate the provision of the interpretation equipment for the Remote Interpretation Centre and Main Press Centre.

· Participate and contribute to the Event Operating Planning meetings and documents.

· Support the recruitment and selection of the Language Services (LAN) volunteers.

· Contribute to the preparation of the materials for the specific training of the Language Services Volunteers.

· Delivering the specific training for the LAN volunteers along with other members of the team.

· Support the interpretation activities when required.

· Collaborate to the final reports on language services highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendation for future events.

· Any other duties that might be required.


· Bachelor’s degree in translation, interpretation, linguistics, or relevant field required.

· Master’s degree in Conference Interpretation or equivalent required.

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in interpretation/translation projects or related roles.

· Interpretation management experience, ideally similar experience within major international sport events.

· Being an active interpreter familiar with remote simultaneous interpretation platforms is a strong asset.

· Ability to deliver training courses and workshops.

· Familiarity with remote interpretation equipment and language-related technologies

· Excellent organizational and project management skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

· Knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement is desirable.

· Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Excellent language skills in English and proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
