Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The Language Services Venue Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordinating, and over-seeing the language services venue operations during the Olympic and Paralympic Games and their related test events.

This role involves collaborating with key internal stakeholders, collaborating in the development of the four clusters and venue specific operational plans being the main point of reference for the Language Services Venue Managers during the planning and operational phases.

This person will be also involved in the volunteer recruitment, training, and deployment process related to the Language Services area.



Responsibilities


· Work closely with all the functional areas centrally and at the venue level to ensure the correct implementation of our operations.

· Participate in the Language Services (LAN) volunteers recruitment process, operations, planning of workforce operations in all venues such as dot planning and shift planning.

· Contribute to the Event Operating Planning documents at a central level and participate in coordination meetings.

· Participate in the readiness and planning exercises for the venues.

· Support the training of the Language Services Volunteers.

· Lead the team of LAN Cluster managers and Venue Managers in the planning and operations during games time.

· Work closely with the team of Language Venue Managers to ensure the correct installation and operation of interpretation equipment and the delivery of the language services in the venues.

· Coordinate the final reporting of all the LAN Venue managers

· Any other duties that might be required.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent studies in a relevant field such as event management, sport management, business administration, sport journalism or similar.

· Proven experience in planning and delivering operations at a cluster or central level at major sporting events, preferably in media operations or language services.

· Excellent organizational and project management skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

· Knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement is desirable.

· Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Excellent language skills in English and proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
